WickedGud, a food startup featured on Shark Tank India, has secured ₹20 crore in funding led by Orios Venture Partners, with contributions from Asiana Fund and existing backers. This Mumbai-based company, known for offering healthier food alternatives, aims to strengthen its distribution network, enhance branding, and grow its team.
Founded in 2021 by Bhuman Dani, WickedGud creates nutritious snacks like noodles, pasta, and chips using SCAD (steaming and convection air drying) technology. The brand focuses on providing “unjunked” options for Gen Z and Gen X consumers. Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is among its notable supporters.
Currently available in over 2,000 retail outlets, WickedGud is expanding into platforms like DMart, Zepto, Blinkit, and Instamart. It also plans to introduce Korean flavors to its noodle range, leveraging culinary trends.
Rehan Yar Khan, Managing Partner at Orios, highlighted the startup’s potential in the ₹15,000 crore instant noodle market, projected to double by 2028. He praised WickedGud as a leading healthy option in the category, showing strong traction with retailers. Dani expressed excitement about the brand’s rapid growth and vision to redefine India’s snack food industry.
