UNIVO Education, an online higher education firm, has officially named Ravendra Kumar Singh as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over 17 years of varied experience in software engineering and development, Ravendra is poised to bring valuable insights to his new role.
Siddharth Banerjee, CEO of UNIVO Education, expressed enthusiasm about Ravendra’s appointment, stating, “Ravendra’s arrival comes at a pivotal moment of growth for our company. Ravendra’s professional journey includes significant contributions to the fintech sector, notably leading the establishment of Paytm Payments Bank’s core banking division and contributing to the development of payment solutions and industry standards for government projects at BillDesk. Additionally, his tenure at Infosys saw him spearheading transformative projects across the Asia-Pacific region for prominent banks like Punjab National Bank in India, DBS Bank in Singapore, and institutions in the UK. Moreover, he played a pivotal role in HT Media’s digital ventures, overseeing the launch of new sub-domains and the development of web and mobile applications.
Based in Noida, UNIVO Education has embarked on a substantial workforce expansion initiative following a remarkable surge in staff numbers over the past 18 months, growing from 200 to 1,000 employees, according to the company’s reports. CEO Banerjee has unveiled ambitious plans to double the company’s workforce in the fiscal year 2023–2024, citing strong momentum in corporate growth. UNIVO secured a $76 million Series A investment last year, valuing the company at $220 million.
