Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a two-year partnership with Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC), the master franchise holder of McDonald’s in the Philippines, to standardize and digitize the IT operations of over 760 McDonald’s restaurants across the country. This collaboration marks TCS’s first partnership with McDonald’s in the APAC region.
As part of this initiative, TCS will undertake a significant upgrade of McDonald’s existing systems in the Philippines by transitioning to the cloud-based SAP S/4HANA on RISE platform. Leveraging its extensive expertise in SAP-led business systems transformation, TCS will revamp GADC’s IT infrastructure, enabling improved insights, better decision-making, and optimized operational efficiency.
McDonald’s, one of the world’s largest foodservice retailers with over 42,000 locations in more than 100 countries as of 2023, has approximately 95% of its restaurants owned and operated by local independent business owners. In recent years, GADC has experienced substantial growth in the Philippines, driven by its commitment to digital transformation, including the standardization of its IT systems nationwide.
TCS will also integrate additional SAP capabilities to offer comprehensive data management and automation solutions tailored to GADC’s requirements. These enhancements will significantly boost the fast-food chain’s effectiveness in areas such as financial management, materials management, enterprise asset management, project management, sales and distribution, user interface, and master data management.
