Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has unveiled a significant initiative to bolster the company’s standing in advanced AI research. Sam Altman, former CEO of OpenAI, and Greg Brockman, co-founder of OpenAI, have been selected to spearhead Microsoft’s Advanced AI Research. This strategic move follows Altman’s departure from OpenAI, where he held a pivotal role.
Nadella, in his announcement, conveyed immense excitement about the inclusion of Altman and Brockman, along with their collaborators, in steering Microsoft’s advanced AI research initiatives.
“We remain committed to our partnership with OpenAI and have confidence in our product roadmap, our ability to continue to innovate with everything we announced at Microsoft Ignite, and in continuing to support our customers and partners,” Nadella wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
