On November 27, NTT DATA announced the acquisition of Udupi-based Niveus Solutions, a cloud engineering firm, to address the growing demand for cloud transformation across industries. The deal brings 1,000 Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experts skilled in GCP-native modernization, data engineering, and artificial intelligence under NTT DATA’s umbrella.
This acquisition reinforces Karnataka’s “Beyond Bengaluru” initiative, which promotes tech growth in emerging hubs. It also marks the second significant Udupi-based acquisition by a Japanese firm, following Technopro Holdings’ purchase of Robosoft Technologies in 2021.
NTT DATA aims to solidify its position as a leading Google Cloud partner, with a focus on co-innovating data analytics and Generative AI solutions through its expanded partnership with Google Cloud. The transaction, subject to customary conditions, is expected to close within 30–60 days.
