NICDC Logistics Data Services Ltd. and Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board sign MoU to enhance Logistics in Gujarat

The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (NICDC) Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDS) and the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to digitize Gujarat’s logistics sector using the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP). The MoU was executed by Shri Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO & MD of NICDC and Chairman of NLDS, and Shri Banchha Nidhi Pani, CEO of GIDB.

This partnership aims to enhance logistics operations by improving visibility, boosting coordination among state departments, and enabling better decision-making through real-time data insights.

A key component of this initiative is the development of the Gujarat ULIP Dashboard by NLDS. Operating on a Hub-spoke model, the dashboard will integrate with various state departments to ensure a seamless flow of information. It will offer real-time insights into crucial logistics metrics, such as shipment tracking, vehicle utilization, infrastructure availability, and transit times.

This comprehensive tool will help stakeholders in both government and private sectors effectively monitor and manage logistics across the state.

The collaboration highlights NLDS’s dedication to leveraging technology and innovation to advance the logistics sector. Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), praised GIDB and NLDS, noting that this initiative represents a significant step in the Government of India’s digital transformation efforts under PM Gati Shakti.

About ULIP:

ULIP serves as a digital gateway, providing industry players access to logistics-related data from various government systems through API-based integration. The platform currently connects with 37 systems across 10 ministries via 118 APIs, covering over 1,800 data fields. The involvement of over 950 private companies on the ULIP portal (www.goulip.in) has expanded its impact, with these companies developing more than 90 applications and processing over 42 crore API transactions. ULIP also enhances government decision-making by delivering synthesized data to ministries and departments, including Coal, the Food Corporation of India (FCI), and various states.
