The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has appointed K Joshil Raj, Ph.D., as the Chief Executive Officer of its Centre of Excellence in Design (D-CoE). A distinguished tech strategist, Dr. Raj brings extensive expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and geo-spatial analysis, combined with a strong track record in innovation management and technology leadership.
Dr. Raj has held key leadership roles, including Vice President of Engineering/Infrastructure with the Indian Army and CEO of Sarvatra Centre of Research and Innovation. In addition to his new role, he co-founded XTRANSMATRIX Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd. and TIM – The Innovation Master, ventures focused on advancing AI/ML training and fostering innovation.
At D-CoE, Dr. Raj’s leadership is poised to drive pioneering advancements in product design and innovation, further elevating IISc’s standing in the global technology ecosystem. His vision and expertise align with the institute’s mission to spearhead cutting-edge research and development.
