Reliance Jio has introduced JioTele OS, an innovative Smart TV operating system developed for Indian consumers. The OS promises an enhanced entertainment experience by offering AI-powered content recommendations and ensuring seamless 4K streaming. The platform is compatible with both global and regional content, supporting popular apps and providing effortless navigation with a single remote.
It also promises regular software updates to keep the TV optimized with the latest apps and security features. JioTele OS will be available from February 21, debuting on TVs from brands like Thomson, Kodak, BPL, and JVC, with more brands to follow. This affordable and premium platform aims to cater to India’s growing number of connected TV households.
‘With approximately 35 million connected TV households in India, the demand for digital entertainment continues to rise. However, many consumers encounter challenges due to the limited capabilities of their connected TVs, such as restricted customization, limited access to high-quality regional content and the absence of seamless, premium user experience. JioTele OS caters to the needs of Indian consumers,” said Jio in a press release
