Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation have introduced the ‘X-ble Shoulder,’ an industrial wearable robot designed to enhance efficiency and reduce musculoskeletal strain during overhead tasks. Unveiled at Wearable Robot Tech Day in Seoul, the X-ble Shoulder, part of the new X-ble brand, supports upper arm muscles, making it ideal for industries like construction, aviation, and agriculture.
Following its domestic release, the wearable will gradually expand to global markets. Hyundai and Kia also plan to launch the ‘X-ble Waist’ for heavy lifting and ‘X-ble MEX’ for medical rehabilitation. Robotics LAB Vice President Dong Jin Hyun emphasized the aim to develop intuitive wearable robots that integrate seamlessly into users’ lives while advancing accessibility and innovation.
