On Monday, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of IT services firm HCLTech, was awarded the “Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur” (Knight of the Legion of Honour), the highest civilian honor of France.

About the Award
Instituted in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte, the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur is France’s highest civilian award, given for outstanding service to the country regardless of the recipient’s nationality. The President of the French Republic is the Grand Master of the Order of the Legion of Honour.
The award was presented to Nadar Malhotra by H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, on behalf of the French President, during a special ceremony at the French residence in Delhi.
