Rajesh Gopinathan, former CEO of TCS, has officially taken on the role of a Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group for their technology, media, and telecom (TMT) practice. Gopinathan will be advising in the capacity of an external consultant.
Gopinathan, who is 52 years old, dedicated 22 years to TCS, starting as a fresher and eventually serving as CEO for a six-year tenure.
During Gopinathan’s six-year stint, the company added over $10 billion in incremental revenues at $25.8 billion and over $70 billion increase in market capitalization to $140 billion.
Gopinathan mentioned that the exit was timed in a way that his successor K Krithivasan could take over at the start of the next fiscal year.
