Fiverr, the well-known online marketplace for freelancers, has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI) platform called Fiverr Go. This platform allows gig workers to create AI models that resemble them and are trained on their own data, enabling them to earn from the generated outputs. According to the company, Fiverr Go is designed to enhance freelancers’ capabilities rather than replace them. Additionally, the platform offers a Personal AI Assistant that can interact with potential clients.
Fiverr Go: A Marketplace for AI-Powered Freelancers
Announced at a launch event, Fiverr Go functions as an online marketplace where each AI model represents a human freelancer. The platform provides two key tools:
- Personal AI Model Creation – Enables freelancers to develop AI models trained on their previous work.
- Personal AI Assistant – Assists freelancers by engaging with potential clients, improving communication, and handling routine inquiries.
Currently, Fiverr Go is available only to top, vetted freelancers with proven track records to ensure high-quality results. The platform initially supports select services, including voiceover, songwriting, graphic design, illustration, copywriting, and digital marketing.
Micha Kaufman, CEO and Founder of Fiverr, stated: “We built Fiverr Go to ensure creators remain at the centre of the creative economy […] Instead of letting creators be exploited, Fiverr Go ensures they receive proper credit and compensation while giving them unprecedented tools to scale their work. This is about making our freelancers irreplaceable, not obsolete.”
How Fiverr Go Works
Eligible freelancers can access the Fiverr Go Hub to create their AI chatbot. Fiverr’s AI system will recommend a model based on the freelancer’s past work, or users can build one from scratch. The AI will then analyze and categorize samples of the freelancer’s work for training. Freelancers also have the option to fine-tune the output by adding more details and setting prices for AI-generated assets.
Once a chatbot is created, it will be listed on the Fiverr Go marketplace. Buyers can browse available AI models, input their requirements through prompts, and receive a watermarked sample of the AI-generated output. They then have the option to purchase the final version, which will be delivered within three days to allow for any necessary edits. Alternatively, they can request custom modifications.
Paid Features and Developer Access
Fiverr Go’s Personal AI Assistant is trained on past client interactions, helping freelancers streamline communication and gain actionable business insights. However, freelancers must subscribe to access the Personal AI Model Creation tool, which costs $25 (roughly Rs. 2,170) per month.
Additionally, Fiverr Go will be an open platform for developers, allowing them to build apps and AI-powered products using generative AI tools.
