Adani Group has appointed Dr. Samir Mishra as Chief People Officer – BESS, GH2 & Electrolyzer, strengthening its leadership team as it advances its clean energy and sustainability initiatives. In this strategic role, Dr. Mishra will oversee people strategy, leadership development, and organizational transformation across key verticals focused on energy storage, green hydrogen, and electrolyzer technologies.
Dr. Mishra brings with him extensive experience in human resources, organizational transformation, and talent management, developed through a career spanning major industrial and infrastructure sectors. His leadership has consistently focused on aligning people strategy with business vision, fostering innovation, and building future-ready teams to support large-scale transformation.
Previously, he served as Head HR at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd., where he led the transition of airports from AAI to Adani management, developed high-performing teams, strengthened corporate–campus connect initiatives, and drove sustainability-focused community engagement. Under his leadership, the HR function became a key enabler of operational excellence and organizational integration across the company’s expanding airport portfolio.
Before that, as HR Business Partner at Mumbai International Airport Limited (CSMIA), he oversaw talent acquisition, learning and development, employee relations, succession planning, and HR operations for a workforce exceeding 1,800 employees. His initiatives were instrumental in building strong employee engagement and leadership succession pipelines during a phase of high operational growth.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Mishra contributed to Adani Enterprises Limited, where he played a pivotal role in talent acquisition and airport privatization projects, working in collaboration with global consulting partners such as KPMG, Mercer, and EY. He also held key leadership roles at TATA Power, where he managed corporate HR, contract labour governance, and large-scale mobility programs across geographies.
Dr. Mishra’s early experience with United Breweries Ltd. and Global Franchisee Franchisor Pvt. Ltd. provided him with a solid foundation in HR operations, recruitment, and marketing—skills that have underpinned his success as a strategic people leader across industries.
His appointment underscores Adani Group’s commitment to building world-class human capital and driving organizational excellence in its next phase of growth and innovation in the green energy sector.
