Dell Technologies Expands AI Skills Development with GenAI Training and Certification in India

Dell Technologies has announced a significant expansion of its skills development initiatives in India, focusing on Generative AI (GenAI) to prepare professionals and organizations for the AI-driven future. As part of this effort, Dell will offer the Dell GenAI Foundations course to participants at its India-based Dell Technologies Forums this September, held in Mumbai and Bangalore. This specialized learning program is designed to help customers and partners develop AI/ML and GenAI expertise and apply these strategies to create transformative business value across sectors such as healthcare, finance, and manufacturing.

The GenAI Foundations course will be available to the first 250 registered attendees at each forum. Participants will gain industry insights and learn how to incorporate AI/ML capabilities into their work environments. Moreover, attendees will have the opportunity to take an exam and earn the Dell Proven Professional certification, a credential that highlights proficiency in GenAI.

Commenting on the initiative, Alok Ohrie, President and Managing Director of Dell Technologies India, said, “Dell Technologies is committed to empowering enterprises with the knowledge and skills they need to stay ahead of the curve. As AI continues to transform industries, the need for the right expertise to harness its full potential cannot be overstated. By investing in skills development, we are contributing to the broader digital transformation journey across India. At Dell, we ensure our customers have the skills and knowledge they need to lead in the age of AI.”

This training program is part of a broader strategy by Dell to enhance the AI capabilities of India’s workforce. In May, Dell launched the industry’s first Co-Skilled Certification in GenAI in partnership with NVIDIA, specifically targeting data engineers and scientists with over 100 hours of learning content. In addition to GenAI, Dell offers a wide range of technical courses on large language models, data engineering, and cybersecurity. Later this year, the company will introduce a course focused on GenAI governance and security.

Dell’s Proven Professional Program equips individuals with the skills, knowledge, and processes required to drive business outcomes through emerging technologies. The expansion of Dell’s AI initiatives aligns with India’s national objectives to become a global leader in AI and digital innovation. To further support this goal, Dell will collaborate with educational institutions, industry partners, and government bodies to roll out its training programs across the country, aiming to bridge the AI skill gap and contribute to the growth of India’s digital economy.

By investing in AI skills development, Dell Technologies positions itself as a key player in shaping the future workforce, ensuring that enterprises and individuals alike are equipped to thrive in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI.
