Bithal Bhardwaj has officially taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer – Gramax at GMR Group, starting December 2024. With over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, IT leadership, and operational excellence, he is poised to steer Gramax toward sustainable growth and strategic innovation.
In his previous role as Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at GMR Group, Bithal spent five years enhancing the organization’s cybersecurity posture and fortifying its resilience against evolving threats. Before this, he made significant contributions at GE, serving as the Chief Information Security Officer for international regions, where he led cybersecurity strategies across Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. His earlier roles at GE included driving cyber risk initiatives for South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, showcasing his ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex IT ecosystems.
Bithal also brings valuable experience from Genpact and Tech Mahindra, where he worked on IT infrastructure projects and application monitoring practices. His career journey reflects a deep commitment to innovation, risk management, and fostering collaboration.
As he takes the helm at Gramax, Bithal Bhardwaj’s leadership is expected to align closely with GMR Group’s vision, ensuring strategic growth and delivering exceptional value to stakeholders.
