BharatPe Group’s subsidiary, Resilient Payments Private Ltd., has secured the final approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to function as an online payment aggregator. This green light enables the fintech major to enhance its digital services ecosystem under its newly introduced brand — BharatPe X.
With this authorization, BharatPe stands out as the only Indian fintech entity to simultaneously possess a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) license via Trillion Loans, a considerable equity in Unity Small Finance Bank, and now, the official capacity to act as a payment aggregator.

Expanding BharatPe X into Smaller Cities
Sandeep Indurkar, CEO of Resilient Payments, shared that BharatPe X will concentrate on increasing penetration in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, particularly by developing robust tech infrastructures that cater to emerging sectors. The platform will offer merchants advanced digital tools to manage and accept payments more efficiently.

BharatPe’s Growing Market Footprint
Serving over 1.3 crore merchants across 450+ cities, BharatPe has established itself as a leader in integrated digital financial services. It currently processes more than 450 million UPI transactions each month. Its point-of-sale terminals account for annual transactions exceeding ₹29,000 crore. In addition, through strategic collaborations with non-bank financial institutions, BharatPe’s lending division has facilitated loans amounting to over ₹18,000 crore.
