Aussie software firm Iress flags data breach at third-party platform

Over the weekend, Iress Ltd in Australia identified and controlled an unauthorized intrusion into its space on a third-party platform used for managing pre-production software code, the financial software firm reported on Monday.

Iress clarified that it does not store client information on this third-party platform, GitHub, and there is no indication that client data was compromised.

The company, operating in Asia, Australia, and the United Kingdom, assured in a statement that it anticipates no disruption to its business or clients’ ability to use its software and systems.

To strengthen security measures, additional processes have been implemented, according to Iress.

Its shares were trading at A$8.57, down by 0.7% as of 0020 GMT.
