Apple has announced the appointment of Kevan Parekh as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective January 1, 2025. Parekh, who currently serves as Apple’s Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, will take over from Luca Maestri, who has held the CFO position since 2014.
Luca Maestri will transition into a new role where he will continue to lead Apple’s Corporate Services teams, including information systems, technology, information security, and real estate development. During his tenure as CFO, Maestri played a crucial role in doubling Apple’s revenue and significantly increasing its services revenue.
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, praised Parekh, highlighting his deep understanding of Apple’s operations and his significant contributions over more than a decade with the company. Cook noted that Parekh’s “sharp intellect, wise judgment, and financial brilliance” make him the ideal candidate to lead Apple’s financial strategies into the future.
Parekh’s career at Apple has seen him in various leadership roles, including overseeing Worldwide Sales, Retail, and Marketing Finance. Before joining Apple, Parekh gained extensive global experience in senior financial roles at companies like Thomson Reuters and General Motors.
This leadership change comes as Apple continues to innovate and expand its global footprint, preparing for the next era of technological advancement.
This transition reflects Apple’s commitment to maintaining strong financial leadership while continuing its trajectory of growth and innovation.
