Deepak Sharma has moved on after seven years in the role of Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Kotak Mahindra Bank. As the President & CDO of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Sharma was a highly regarded and highly rewarded digital leader.
He was one of the first CDOs in the banking sector in India and took charge of the digital leadership at Kotak Mahindra Bank in 2013. At Kotak Mahindra Bank, he was responsible for managing and growing the digital business across customer segments, platforms, products, and channels. Sharma led the digital strategy, transformation, payments, innovation, wealth tech, fintech, startup ecosystem, and future-ready initiatives for the bank, leveraging emerging technologies and India stack solutions.
Sharma had a long-standing stint with Kotak Mahindra Bank that goes back to 2008, having served the bank across key portfolios. During his tenure as the President and Chief Digital Officer, he spearheaded transformative projects in the areas of mobile banking, intelligent process automation (IPA), AI, and data analytics.
In a career spanning over two decades, Sharma has amassed a breadth of experience, working with organizations like Airtel, Standard Chartered Bank, and Hutchison Max.
