Addverb Technologies, backed by Reliance Industries and its chairman Mukesh Ambani, is gearing up to disrupt the global robotics landscape with the launch of advanced humanoid robots in 2025. Positioned as India’s bold entry into the humanoid robotics race, this move puts the Noida-based company in direct competition with tech giants like Tesla, Boston Dynamics, and Agility Robotics.
The AI-powered humanoids, designed for industries such as fashion, retail, and energy, will tackle what CEO Sangeet Kumar calls the “3D” jobs—Dull, Dirty, and Dangerous. With cutting-edge GPU technology, energy-efficient actuators, and dual-arm precision, these robots will be capable of navigating dynamic terrains and performing intricate tasks. Equipped with Visual and Language Action (VLA) technology, they promise to redefine autonomous operations in ever-changing environments.
Leveraging Reliance’s Jio AI Platform and 5G services, Addverb plans to build a robotics ecosystem that mirrors its success in warehouse automation. This initiative aligns with India’s “Make in India” vision, aiming to boost the country’s robotics footprint globally while enhancing humanoid robot density at home.
While Tesla’s Optimus robots are expected to be priced between $20,000–$25,000, Kumar acknowledges the immense financial and technological challenges of building humanoids but remains confident in Addverb’s ability to compete on a global stage. With a strong portfolio of clients like Reliance, HUL, and PepsiCo, Addverb is set to push the boundaries of robotics innovation, ensuring India stands tall in this futuristic domain.
This ambitious venture underscores India’s determination to lead the next wave of technological evolution, bridging the gap between human ingenuity and artificial intelligence.
