Anish Shah, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Group, unveiled the company’s forward-looking vision for sustainable mobility at the Global Leadership Forum. He emphasized Mahindra’s proactive role in driving India’s green transition, revealing that the group is on track to surpass its 30% electric vehicle (EV) adoption target well ahead of the 2030 deadline.
Highlighting the rapid growth of electric three-wheelers, now commanding 23% of the market, Anish noted that full penetration in this segment is anticipated within a few years. With two new EV models set for launch this month, Mahindra is poised to establish new benchmarks in innovation, catering to global standards and evolving consumer preferences.
Anish also stressed the importance of a unified EV charging infrastructure, proposing a “one nation, one app” initiative to consolidate charging stations nationwide. By leveraging the Bharat digital stack, this approach aims to enhance accessibility and user convenience, fostering collaboration between government and private sectors to drive investments and adoption.
Under Anish Shah’s leadership, Mahindra Group continues to champion the EV revolution, addressing industry challenges with strategic foresight while contributing to a sustainable and economically robust future for India.
