Philips, a global leader in health technology and innovation, has announced the appointment of Bharath Sesha as the new Managing Director for the Indian subcontinent, effective from September 1, 2024.
In his new role, Sesha will lead the company’s growth strategy in India, focusing on operational excellence and enhancing customer satisfaction. His responsibilities will include overseeing the Healthcare division in Gurgaon, the Philips Innovation Campus in Bangalore, the Healthcare Innovation Centre in Pune, and Global Services in Chennai. This appointment follows the transition of Daniel Mazon, the former Vice Chairman and Managing Director, to a global role at Philips’ headquarters in the Netherlands on April 1, 2024.
Sesha previously served as the Managing Director at Heubach Colourants India and brings a strong background in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, with over two decades of global experience. In 2023, Philips launched a new Philips Innovation Campus (PIC) in Bangalore and announced plans for a new R&D campus at the Healthcare Innovation Centre (HIC) in Pune, set to open in 2024.
