Hackers leak documents from US Pentagon’s IT services provider Leidos

Hackers have leaked internal documents stolen from Leidos Holdings Inc., one of the largest IT services providers to the U.S. government.

The Virginia-based company recently discovered the breach and believes the documents were stolen during a previously reported compromise of a Diligent Corp. system it utilized. Leidos is currently investigating the incident.

Leidos, which primarily serves the U.S. Department of Defense, used the Diligent system to manage information related to internal investigations, as indicated in a June 2023 filing.

A spokesperson for Diligent stated that the leak appears to be connected to a 2022 hack involving its subsidiary Steele Compliance Solutions, which was acquired by Diligent in 2021. At that time, fewer than 15 customers, including Leidos, used the affected product.
