Manoj Gautam takes charge as Maruti Suzuki's New Head of IT

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has appointed Manoj Gautam as its new Head of IT. In this capacity, Manoj will lead efforts to enhance the company’s technological framework and spearhead the digital transformation of corporate applications, in line with the vision of MSIL 3.0.

With more than 18 years of dedicated service to Maruti Suzuki, Manoj has played a pivotal role in shaping and implementing IT strategies aligned with the company’s objectives. He takes over from Rajesh Uppal, who transitioned to the role of Executive Committee Member after overseeing the HR and IT departments for over 39 years.

Manoj Gautam joined Maruti Suzuki in 2005, contributing significantly to the development of IT applications and infrastructure for the newly established Manesar Plant. His current focus areas include Industry 4.0, cybersecurity, and driving digital transformation initiatives. Before joining Maruti Suzuki, Gautam held positions at HMT Limited and Eicher Motors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from IIT Roorkee.
