Aviva Life appoints Gyanendra Singh as its new Chief Technology Officer

Aviva Life Insurance has named Gyanendra Singh as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In his new role, Singh will be shaping up Aviva’s digital transformation, overseeing product development, fostering innovation, leading research and development efforts, ensuring information security and driving innovation initiatives.

With a career spanning over two decades in the BFSI technology sector, Singh brings extensive expertise in areas such as application development, data engineering, business intelligence, platform engineering, information security, various Artificial Intelligence disciplines and vendor management.

Prior to joining Aviva India, Singh held the position of CTO at Toffee Insurance, where he successfully expanded and established digital insurance distribution and auto loan aggregation capabilities. He has also contributed his talents to BlackRock in both India and Singapore, serving as the Director of Technology Development. Another significant role in his career was as the Product Delivery Head at Polaris Financial Technology.

Gyanendra Singh holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Pune and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI (Project Management Institute).

Aviva India’s CEO & MD, Asit Rath, praised Singh’s appointment, stating, “Gyanendra brings exceptional leadership qualities and a profound understanding of the technology landscape. As we continue to invest in cutting-edge technology, his leadership will be instrumental in helping us deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
